She was born in Virginia, and later left the state to attend college in New York, New York. She started acting in plays her mom were directing when she was about 5 years old. Her first stage role was as the youngest Snow child in CAROUSEL. Her earliest singing role was as Amaryllis in The Music Man. She started dance at age 8 and does all types of dance--ballet, tap, jazz. lyrical, modern, pointe, hip-hop. funk, salsa--you name it.
She was Miss Junior Virginia (from where she hails) at age 11-12; she was president of her Thespian group, and both Homecoming and Prom Queen. She was selected for the Governor's School for Performing Arts--with a perfect score on all phases of herauditions! She also won Overall Actor at the AMTC (American Modeling & Talent Convention--where she was also discovered by Iris Hampton--who is the casting director for the Power Rangers!
