Dana Mitchell is the Pink Lightspeed Ranger. She was trained 18 years for the job by her father. She knew about Diabolico and his demons but never knew she would one day be apart of the fighting force against him. Her family consists currently of her father, Captain Mitchell, and Ryan, the Titanium Ranger.
Dana was in charge of bringing in the four chosen rangers one by one with two agents. She found out she was the fifth, and that there was a fifth ranger, back at the Aquabase. She was the one who helped the rangers adjust to how things were run at Lightspeed. Dana is a caring individual, who is extremely responsible, and takes her job seriously.
She always thought her brother, Ryan was dead until one day when he returned with a vengeance. It seems her father had lied by saying he was dead, Diabolico had taken him and raised him to hate his sister and father. Dana worked hard to get Ryan to see how things were, and in the end it helped him realize that there were still people who loved him. The rangers now had a sixth ranger to help in the fight against Diabolico.
Dana is living her dream of being a paramedic and studying for medical school. There was one episode that focused on her desire in which Kelsey was helping Dana study for exams. She realized that there wasn't enough money to send her so she had to work for scholarships. Coco Lee, the lady in charge of a fashion magazine saw her picture in the newspaper and recruited her to become a model. Dana received a ton of money and all the fame got to her head, but she returned to the Dana we all know and love.
In the end, after defeating Queen Bansheera, Dana and the other rangers were last seen running to the rescue of a fire.
Dana Mitchell is played by Alison MacInnis. She was born on March 24, 1980. Alison enjoys music by Garbage, Delerium, and Massive Attack. She also likes the movies Labyrinth, and the Last Unicorn. Her favorite cartoons are Snoopy, Scooby Doo, Sailor Moon, and Gargoyles. Her favorite TV shows are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson's Creek, and Charmed. Some of her favorite activities are outdoor activities, taking pictures, listening to music, and reading. Alison's favorite color has always been pink. Her favorite power ranger is Chad played by Michael Chaturantabut. Alison is also an avid shopper, and spends a lot of time at home with her dog.
